Kindness is one of my passions as well as creating beautiful living spaces. I LOVE participating in surprises and making others feel special and seen. I decided to combine my two passions into one giant effort to restore hope, generosity, kindness, and empathy in a world that needs it now more than ever. In this filmed project, we will watch the story of an individual unfold telling their journey through hardship as they come out on the other side of hope as well as the community that helped lift them up!! While the messages will be heartfelt and serious, we will have a lot of fun, laughter, and tears along the way!
Who Will It Be?!
Calling Loudoun County Residents (and close surrounding areas)! Are you or someone you know on the up and up but have been hit hard with life? Grateful for a roof over your head but still trying to make ends meet? Is creating a beautiful home a dream of yours but not even close to something on your mind as your focus is on feeding, clothing, and housing your family? We want to make your space a place that you LOVE to come home to, that motivates you to keep going, and that you can be proud of... because Kindness really DOES change everything!
Who is our ideal candidate?
Perhaps this person has come from an underprivileged upbringing, has gotten out of an abusive relationship, is a single parent, has struggled with past addiction, homelessness, illness, a disability, or has simply fallen on hard times due to Covid and related job loss. This person has already made strides to turn their life around and is doing it! They have a roof over their head (we are not providing housing), food on the table, and clothing on their backs, but their space doesn't feel like "home". He/She is grateful for all that they have and most likely has second hand furniture that people have given them to get by. Maybe it’s not the prettiest, but it will do. While the idea of a beautiful, comfortable, functional space seems amazing, it's the last thing this person has the funds to tackle so it feels like a pipe dream.
Our recipient is hardworking, kind, and a positive influence in the lives of others. Simply put, they DESERVE the gift of home!
*Please note that implementation of this project will not be until at least a few months into 2021, but we do hope to find our candidate ASAP!

Community: We need your help!
People are far too often caught up in their own lives, jobs, and schedules to stop and remember that others are struggling. In Loudoun County, the wealthiest county in the nation, I think it’s easy to forget what struggle looks like when it’s not surrounding you on a daily basis. Sometimes it’s quiet, but it’s still here. One thing I do know, however, is that when there is a call for help within our community, we band together like nothing I’ve ever seen before to move mountains! Our community is the reason my family has decided to put down our roots here as we can’t imagine our lives without the amazing net of people that catch us when we fall! When a community comes together for the good of another, it brings joy into their own hearts and lives in a way that can’t be explained. It ignites positivity, hope, and creates a ripple effect. People want to pay it forward! Will you help make ripples with us?
